LONDON MAID CRUMPETS

Who Am I?

I'm Kris Day, also known as the London Maid, and I've been baking Crumpets for donkey's years, as the Brits would say. I've sold Crumpets from the farmers markets in Western Washington to the Dean and Deluca stores in New York, and now I'm ready to deliver freshly backed crumpets right to your door.

What's a Crumpet?

Although crumpets come from England, they bear no resemblance whatsoever to the English muffin. The English Muffin is an American invention, a poser and a wannabe. The crumpet, much like cheddar, Harry Potter, and the Beatles, is a genuine gift from the British Isles.

Made from a batter and cooked on a griddle, the crumpet most strongly resembles a thick, spongy pancake with lots of little holes to soak up the wonderful sauces and toppings you layer on.

Crumpets contain only four Ingredients, use no sugar, eggs, butter, fats, or milk (vegans take note!) and contain only 100 calories per crumpet.
